Interesting thoughts on design, colour and organization for beautiful living spaces.

Benjamin Moore names 2014 Colour of the year…

Yes, you read that right. We haven’t even made it to Halloween 2013, but Benjamin Moore has already named it’s 2014 colour of the year; Breath of Fresh Air 806 . This pleasant blue hue is exactly as subtle and refreshing as it sounds and its selection is really no surprise given its similarity to the pale blues and greens that we have seen popping up in fashion in 2013.

While far from the last word in 2014 colour trends, Benjamin Moore is generally considered to be well aligned with the design industry and I personally think they are right on the money. Check out their inspiration booklet at a local dealer or on their website (see link above).

Pantone, has also started planning ahead by compiling their Spring 2014 Fashion colour report. This colourful collection will surely be seen in homes in the coming seasons as well. In fact, they look so appealing that I am thinking about skipping Winter all together this year. Who is with me?
